We were out at Greenfield Village over the weekend for their annual Old Car Festival. You get to see some really neat stuff from the beginning of the 20th Century and some years into it. This year though they had a 1770 Fardier de Cugnot which was pretty amaizing to see and watch. Thier were also replicas of the first Daimler car and motorcycle along with Henry Ford’s famous 999 car that he set world speed records in on a frozen lake.
We shot a ton of pictures and we have then for you in a slide show below, enjoy!
This week we get the skinny on some of Chevrolet‘s upcoming products as we talk to Russ Clark, the Product Marketing Director for the brand. In particular we’ll be asking him about the next-gen Malibu and the Chevy Sonic, but we’ll also be asking him about the news that the redesigned Impala will be built in Detroit alongside the Volt and Malibu. John McElroy and the Autoextremist, Peter De Lorenzo, will also be talking about the upcoming Indy 500 weekend, which marks the 100th anniversary of the race. They’ll be talking about the four women who will be running on Sunday and how some of the big teams choked in qualification. John will also be joined in studio by Todd Lassa from Motor Trend.
Just like Tom Hanks in that movie from the ‘90s, sometimes you never know what you’re going to get. Whether you’re a prospector panning for gold, a would-be member of high society scratching off a lottery ticket in hopes of winning big or you’re forced into an office gift exchange during the holidays, the outcome of your efforts, or luck, is never certain. For lack of a better option, this week on RoundAbout we venture into uncharted territory with an unusually eclectic theme in our first-ever “Grab-Bag” episode. Submitted for discussion this week, a man in the UK gets busted for drunk driving in something ridiculous. We find a C3 Chevy Corvette that’s received some unusual chassis work. Plus we talk about Audi’s sexy new drop-top when we go In The Garage. All that and more on this week’s installment of RoundAbout, The ‘Grab Bag’ Episode. Enjoy!
