Toyota is entering the small crossover segment with their new C-HR. This will be going up against the likes of the Honda HR-V, Nissan Juke, Kia Soul, Jeep Renegade, Chevy Trax and Mazda CX-3.
The C-HR spent time in Europe being developed, will that change the way it rides and drives compared to other Toyota’s in the North American market? That’s what we find out on this First Drive episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive
In a world of compact crossovers, the “c” segment sedan and hatchback market is still fairly strong and competitive. The Kia Forte is probably not the first car that comes to mind when you are shopping this segment, but it shouldn’t be overlooked. How does it stack up against the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Chevy Cruze, Ford Focus and the Mazda3? That’s what we find out in this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive.
The latest generation of the Honda Civic is a winner. Ok, the style might not be your thing, but we liked the coupe, the color, well, not so much. So, how good is the new Civic? That’s what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive.
The 2017 North American International (Detroit)Auto Show media days have come and gone. It was a very down year for the show, a number of major manufacturers passed on the show and there were no big debuts.
With that said, let’s have a look at some of the booths and some of the cars from the show.
In the world of pickup trucks, larger, louder, taller, wider, just more of everything is usually the mantra. However, when you think about how you as a “normal” person, not a contractor, or skilled trades person would use a half ton truck do you really need a “Bro-Dozer” or a “Bro-Truck”?
For day to day living, for the trips to Home Depot/Menards/Lowes/Ikea/etc., this is probably all the truck you will ever need. Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado, Toyota Tacoma and GMC Canyon all try to be “Bro-Truck” Jr. The Ridgeline, it just goes about its day getting things done.
Another day, another crossover to review. There are so many choices in this category, Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester and many more, it often comes down to brand loyalty and personal preferences. The Mazda CX-5 is a solid choice, it doesn’t do anything poorly, on the other hand, it doesn’t stand out from the crowd either.
What other thoughts did we have? That’s what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive.
We had the 2017 Lexus IS 200t F-Sport in for a week in December of 2016 here in Metro Detroit. While the car overall is just fine, the issue is that it came equipped with summer tire. Those don’t work well when you get ten inches of snow! In fact. it made the car undrivable.
With mid-sized crossover market becoming more competitive every day, mostly because that’s where all the new sales are coming from, executing here is very important. How does Kia’s latest entry into the segment stack up against Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 Ford Escape, and others? That’s what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive
