The 2017 North American International (Detroit)Auto Show media days have come and gone. It was a very down year for the show, a number of major manufacturers passed on the show and there were no big debuts.
With that said, let’s have a look at some of the booths and some of the cars from the show.
In the world of pickup trucks, larger, louder, taller, wider, just more of everything is usually the mantra. However, when you think about how you as a “normal” person, not a contractor, or skilled trades person would use a half ton truck do you really need a “Bro-Dozer” or a “Bro-Truck”?
For day to day living, for the trips to Home Depot/Menards/Lowes/Ikea/etc., this is probably all the truck you will ever need. Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado, Toyota Tacoma and GMC Canyon all try to be “Bro-Truck” Jr. The Ridgeline, it just goes about its day getting things done.
Another day, another crossover to review. There are so many choices in this category, Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester and many more, it often comes down to brand loyalty and personal preferences. The Mazda CX-5 is a solid choice, it doesn’t do anything poorly, on the other hand, it doesn’t stand out from the crowd either.
What other thoughts did we have? That’s what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive.
